The Torsion springs, also known as Chicken Legs or V-Springs, are the perfect solution for installing recessed trims and LED Downlights into 5-inch and 6-inch recessed housings. These torsion springs are bent together and inserted into the housing, where they are clipped onto specialized hooks within the interior to secure the LED downlight, while providing upwards pressure to keep the downlight or trim flush against the ceiling/housing.

If your housing does not have a place to hook the springs onto, you can utilize universal mounting clips, which slip onto the edge of the housing and provide a mounting mechanism for installing trims and downlights with torsion springs.
